Thousands of educators and teaching artists have been trained in our proprietary R.H.Y.T.H.M. Framework, leading to improved teacher-student relationships, a decrease in behavior incidents, and transformation to an affirming, healing-centered climate and culture where students, teachers, and families feel a sense of belonging.
Developed by Asheru over two decades of classroom practice and cultural work, the R.H.Y.T.H.M. Framework is a research-backed model for culturally responsive teaching that helps educators make the social-emotional "code-switch" required to truly connect with today's students.
Successful implementation leads to classrooms where students are engaged, feel a sense of community, express their voice and choices, and have their identities affirmed. Teachers transition from power struggles to facilitating learning through dialogue, group process, team building, and small group instruction.

The Hip Hop Educational Literacy Program (H.E.L.P.) is Asheru's signature curriculum — a comprehensive, standards-aligned literacy program that uses Hip Hop music, culture, and history as the primary vehicle for teaching reading, writing, critical thinking, and media literacy.
H.E.L.P. has been used in classrooms across the country, from elementary school through college, and is now available through our Shopify store as a customized curriculum package for educators and schools.

The Digital ELA (D.E.L.A.) program is a series of workshops designed to focus on core themes of the multi-literacies — including reading literacy, digital literacy, civic literacy, and media literacy — through the juxtaposition of contemporary literature and pop culture content.
From Hip Hop music to film, music videos, and more, D.E.L.A. meets students where they are, using the media they already consume as a bridge to deeper academic literacy skills.
